Alusine Kalokoh, our volunteer and Mobility Equipment Programme Manager
My name is Alusine Kalokoh. I am one of the fifteen volunteers at Sierra Leone Education and
Development Trust (SLEDT). I am the project manager for the mobility programme.
I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generosity and kindness in sponsoring my
education from high school to university. I just finished a two years’ diploma course and am
presently in year 2 for Bachelor degree in Peace and Conflicts Resolution.
I am the third son to a mother of 5. I am the only person at the university to my parents. My elder
sister got married two months ago. She couldn't continue her education because of the family
circumstances. I am proud to say that I am now a university student, and I am confident that your
support will help me build a brighter future. Thank you for believing in me and investing in my
education.
I decided to volunteer for this organisation because of the values it holds. The organisation
believes in human capital and radical inclusion which is key for everyone. As a boy that was born
in a village I've always wanted to contribute in development projects in my country and my
people, and as a volunteer for this charity I've been able to support my country people by
distributing mobility equipment for children and recommending bright students from poor
backgrounds and many more.
Once again, thank you for your kindness and support. I am honoured to be a volunteer and a
beneficiary of this charity.
